Z True Long Island Story: Ep #64

Last week WWE edited out over 2 minutes of internet show hilarity due to a controversial subject matter. What does that mean? I have no clue either.

The Curt Hawkins tribute package was kind of nice. I personally would like to see a Major Bro’s reunion culminating in a run at the titles.

Zack’s Dad is the worst actor ever, but he is also hilarious and by far the most compelling character on the show.

We haven’t covered the last few ZTLIS’ as there has not been much material that was different in any way from previous episodes. Here is to hoping some direction is given to this series again. #WWWYKI

Z! True Long Island Story: Ep # 59

Week 59 brought us “a day in the life” trial story telling and format, and I have to say I think this is the right move. Over a year of the same show week for week does get old, changing it up and evolving was a smart call.

Doing the rounds again, it’s easy to see which ancillary characters are breakout stars (Zack’s Dad, the Big O), and which are less as entertaining (Chiapetta, this new Lawyer, Chiapetta again). All the bits with Mr Ryder (who is now on Twitter for approximately 21 hours and has over 10k followers) are hilarious. Picking every other Superstar with great hair and abs to favor over his own son is a great bit.

Speaking of stealing the show, everything with Dolph Ziggler is highlight of the night. These guys are comically overacting a bit, but then again so does Frog LeBlanc.

Great new angle, breathing new life into the longest weekly wrestling themed internet shtick show… on YouTube. #WWWYKI

Z! True Long Island Story: Ep #58

@00:30, THAT’s how you start a WWE web series. We don’t need a helmet, we all know Dolph Ziggler scores.

Ah right back to the wacky bits. Last episode, the mid week bonus, was a 3 minute long promo for Ryder to be a part of the GM vs GM match at Wrestlemania 28. Which in turn makes sense for the next episode to immediately get back to pandering.

Curt Hawkins has been making regular appearances on Z!TLIS, now feuding with Scott Stanford over the legitimacy of the walking cane gimmick. Ryder had one following his injury angle, and has since gifted it to Stanford who quipped “this cane actually appeared on RAW.”  Which leads to the best rib of the show.

Follow it all up with a “Trent Baretta is missing” bit, and an entirely too long AreYouSiriusBro music segment with a pretty funny cameo ending, and that’s another 8 minutes in the bag.

Z! True Long Island Story: Ep #57 – The Bonus Promo

Three minutes. Three minutes is much less than six. By a lot.

No shtick, all business. Ryder makes his pitch for a spot in the Team Laruinitis vs Team Long match at Wrestlemania 28. It makes sense that he is a part of that match, and could easily be written in, as Zack explains for 3 minutes. If you saw the Miz speak slowly into a flip-cam from a distance of 3 inches, you get the jist of this video.

For future reference, I will not be posting any Z!TLIS’s that do not include a #AskTheHeel segment. Glad we understand each other.

Z! True Long Island Story: Ep #56

Zack is upright again, shedding the neck and back brace and rivaling the likes of Mr Fuji as the most racially sterotyped wrestling character to sport a cane on TV. The #MidcardMafia makes an appearance to file gimmick infringement on behalf of Curt Hawkins, but that bit kind of flops all together.

More of the standard story line recap, followed by a plug for the new Zack Ryder “Statue of Li-Bro-Tee” shirt. Apparently it is among the augmented reality merchandise line.

@4:56 Finally. The show get’s stolen. It’s official, starting right now every writer at CDWS has mandatory #emptystomachcardio to do every day. Get to it, marks.
