WWE ’12 for XBOX 360: How did it hold up?

WWE ’12, released this past November, has been one of the most talked about wrestling games of all time, especially here at the Chad Dukes Wrestling Show. Being a hardcore wrestling fan and after hearing great things, I bought WWE ’12 on Xbox 360. After weeks of playing, I’m here to give my thoughts from the casual gamer/ hardcore wrestling fan point of view.

Paul Heyman Interviews Brock Lesnar

Brock sat down with his former manager/mentor Paul Heyman to discuss primarily his involvement in the WWE 12 video game, as well as his upcoming return to the Octagon at UFC 141 against Alistair Overeem.

Both Lesnar and Heyman know how to generate heat. And within the first 90 seconds of the interview, Brock is once more calling out Steve Austin.

Yeah I went through a lot of guys. I went through Ric Flair. I went through Hulk Hogan. I went through Undertaker. But there’s a guy that I didn’t get to go through. There’s a Hall of Famer, there’s a Legend that I didn’t get to go through. And there’s a guy that felt threatened by me at the time. And there was a guy that felt I had everything given to me… And that guy is Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Vickie Guerrero takes a page out of Eddies book

The title of this post is somewhat misleading. WWE ’12 has allowed us to stretch the boundaries of reality inside the world of professional wrestling.  What better example of that is there than Vickie grabbing some wicked air off the top rope?  Check out this 5 Star Frog Splash that would put RVD to shame.

Vickie will be available in the second round of down loadable content made available for WWE ’12.  The pack includes Trish Stratus, Kharma, The Bella Twins, Vickie Guerrero and Alicia Fox. DLC pack #2 will release in late December 2011.

Win a copy of WWE ’12. Right here. Right now.

Want to win? Leave a comment.  The topic is simple:  who is the most underrated wrestler in the WWE today?  Your choice, not ours.  Give us a little rationale.  Entertain us with a compelling argument.  We’ll pick one post we like at random and award the game to that person. Good Luck!  Thanks again to Operation Sports for providing us with this sick prize. Flying Elbows Before Hos!

Remember that post where I was bitching and moaning that there was no “Halloween Havoc” in WWE ’12? UPDATE!

WWE ’12 debuted this week.  If you are familiar with our radio show or have read this blog, you know we are quite excited by this.  Last week, I was griping about the omission of the Halloween Havoc arena from the game.  How is the wide, wide world of sports was this crime against sports entertainment allowed to take place?! Allow me to arrogantly quote myself:

Where the HELL is Halloween Havoc? WHERE is “Wrestling’s Most Terrifying Event?” One of the coolest set designs in the history of the business is not included in a game as expansive as this one? How many epic matches took place during Halloween Havoc? Chris Jericho vs Raven for the United States Title? Roddy Piper putting Hulk Hogan to sleep inside a steel cage? Dean Malenko power bombing Rey Mysterio off the top rope? The list goes on & on.

I am currently in the process of installing a giant inflatable demon holding a pumpkin in my living room, so perhaps I’m slightly biased. I think it’s fair to say that most people buying this game would trade the “Night of Champions” or “Extreme Rules” arena for some inflatable tombstones and a smoke machine.

It appears my concerns were unfounded! The above screen capture was sent over by our pal @ExtremeGamer from Operation Sports.  It appears he has taken the liberty of creating my favorite arena so I can stop whining like a child.  The only question is, how do I get it on MY Xbox? I mean that is the most important issue facing our troubled world.

Not that I have made this sufficiently about me, I’ll wait for the comments to flood in to let me know how I can have this crown jewel of wrestling arenas. Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
