Jay Glazer Talks CM Punk

CM-Punk

In an interview Friday afternoon on Super Bowl Radio Row, Fox Sports NFL Insider and MMA aficionado Jay Glazer talked MMA with our own Chad Dukes.  From Conor McGregor, to his own MMA experiences, and of course, CM Punk.

“What I do understand is that fighters look and say, ‘Wait a minute, man we work so hard,’ like [minor league & underground fights], ‘and you just take the fast track.’

The guy is athletic, and you know what if he’s gonna bring attention to the sport and he wants to get in there, god bless em!  It’s not like he’s a poser and he’s gonna set up fake fights…. He wants to and he’s willing to get his butt kicked for a while to do that.”

TNA Tried To Sign WWE Hall of Famer – Lords of Pain

In addition to wooing, Alberto Del Rio, TNA attempted to sign Edge for a one shot appearance or as Kurt Angle’s “Director of Operations” replacement full-time.  Gutsy move, but I don’t think this had any shot of happening.

Main Event Gone From WWE Network – Wrestling INC

Welp, the UK just ruined that whole wrestling every night of the week thing. I kid. Main Event won’t be on the WWE Network for the time being because of the contractual obligations to Sky TV now that the Network has launched in the UK. So until, they figure out how to block content by location, the US will miss out on Main Event.

TNA Champion Out Of MMA Fight -MMA Fighting.com

An injury, presumably suffered at TNA’s 3 nights of tapings, has forced Bobby Lashley to pull out of his Bellator 134 match with James Thompson.

Batista Joins Cast of “Spectre” – 20th Century Fox

Our pal Dave Bautista is blowing up huge. First it was Guardians of the Galaxy, then it was Kickboxer, now he’s slated to be one of the major villains in the new James Bond film, Spectre.

Dana White Talks CM Punk in UFC – TMZ

TMZ is stoking the flames of the rumors of CM Punk trying his hand at MMA with a story that White says he wouldn’t mind talking to Punk about and MMA career.

Third Kevin Owens Vignette – YouTube

The third vignette for the former ROH Champion, Kevin Owens (Steen) aired last night on NXT. Owens’ vignettes have been three of the best build for a new superstar in recent memory. Each one has contributed to developing a fully formed character before he’s even hit TV. Owens makes his debut at next week’s NXT Takeover: R Evolution.
