Foley: Speech Will Be Televised

FoleyHOF

In today’s Morning Roundup, Sammy Dreamer touched on how Mick Foley’s speech would not be shown on the WWE’s Hall of Fame ceremony, to be televised next week.  Instead, one of the most beloved wrestling figures of a generation would be preempted in favor of Bruno Sammartino (fair enough), Trish Stratus (okay) and Donald Trump (!).

Needless to say, there was a great uproar from the WWE Universe.  Apparently the passion of the dozens… and dozens of Foley’s fans caused a disturbance that was felt throughout WWE Headquarters.  At this time, Mick Foley’s Hall of Fame speech is due to be televised.

While I fully credit People Power for this turn of events, Mrs. Foley’s Baby Boy is directing his gratitude towards a person who’s always been near and dear to his heart.

The Decision: Mick Foley Reveals His Hall Of Fame Inductor

Just released, via his son’s You Tube Channel, Mick Foley has announced who will be inducting him into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Mrs. Foley’s baby boy also gets in a classic burn on one of his favorite punching bags. Pretty much the expected choice but still a fine choice nonetheless.

Agree with his decision? Disagree? Enjoy the video and have a nice day! Bang Bang!

Update: Confirmed! The First 2013 WWE Hall of Famer will be…

As the calendar page turns and Royal Rumble approaches, speculation begins this time of year as to who the inductees in the WWE Hall of Fame will be at WrestleMania. Well just in time for tickets going on sale  for the Hall of Fame Induction this Saturday, a fan favorite name is the first inductee.

“That’ll put a lot of butts in seats!”

January 4, 1999. A date which will live in wrestling infamy.

Fourteen years ago today on a taped show on USA Network, Mankind aka Mick Foley won his first WWF Championship. Across the dial LIVE on TNT, WCW put on a title match that infamously became known as the “Fingerpoke of Doom”.  What makes this night most famous are effects of the words that came out of WCW announcer Tony Schiavone’s mouth and the resulting ratings numbers.  Schaiavone, on orders from Eric Bischoff, intended to run down WWF’s main event and reveal the outcome to their title match.

SmackDown Preview 11/16/12

Just two days from Survivor Series and more importantly the Survivor Series Viewing Party, Smackdown hits Cleveland.

WWE.com has announced MizTV will open the show with Special Guest *cue the car wreck* Mick Foley! Team Foley faces (now) Team Ziggler this Sunday at Survivor Series and appears to be a bit of a dysfunctional team of former rivals: Orton-Kofi, Kane-Bryan, Miz-Bryan, Miz-Kofi, et al. Can this fivesome get along and match up to the seemingly harmonious Team Ziggler?

Sheamus will be in the house, fuming from the Big Show’s attack last week in Birmingham and his attacks on William Regal. These two face off in two days as well, for the World Championship. Here’s hoping they top their outstanding first match in their rematch this Sunday.
