Big Names for Raw? – With Spandex

Spoilers ahoy as the internet tries to ruin any enjoyment you could draw out of your pro wrestling programming.  Two big names are rumored to be appearing on tonight’s Raw from Pittsburgh. Kurt Angle/HHH Meeting? – Lords of Pain

Triple H reportedly met with Kurt Angle at last week’s Arnold Sports Festival.  Triple H was there for the NXT Experience and Kurt Angle was in town to be inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame.

Kevin Owens/AJ Styles Post Match – Cageside Seats

While Roadblock was going on, Kevin Owens and AJ Styles were having a 30 minute Iron Man Match at the WWE live event in Atlantic City.  After the match Owens put over Styles big on the microphone…and then waited for him to leave the ring and put himself over bigger leading to a wonderful finish to the segment.  Kevin Owens is the best.

Angle vs. Mysterio Set for UR Fight PPV

After a farewell tour with TNA, Kurt Angle already has a date lined up for a unique event March 20th in Phoenix, AZ.  The TNA Hall of Famer and Olympic Gold Medalist, will be a part of URShow.TV’s UR Fight event facing Lucha Underground’s Rey Mysterio.

Under normal circumstances a match between Angle & Mysterio, while newsworthy, isn’t blowing anyone’s skirt up given the number of times the two interacted in WWE.  However, this match comes as part of a unique PPV concept bringing four different styles of “combat sports” together.  Joining Mysterio vs. Angle on the card are:

  • Boxing: Roy Jones, Jr. vs. the “Fight Roy Jones, Jr.” Contest Winner
  • MMA: Ken Shamrock versus Dan Severn
  • Grappling: Chael Sonnen vs. Michael Bisping

Wednesday Night Wrestling Preview 7/1/15


It’s another huge night of Wednesday Night action. TNA has Bell to Bell, NXT has an all-star tag match, ROH has Styles versus Cole, and Lucha Underground has a championship match.  Let’s run down the cards!

Impact Wrestling 9PM + 12AM on Destination America

It’s Election Day in TNA!  Ethan Carter III’s campaign for the TNA World Title comes to an end with his match against Olympic Gold Medalist and TNA World Champion Kurt Angle.  In addition, the Wolves and the Heels wrap up their best of 5 series, and either the BC or the Rising will disband.

  • TNA World Championship:  Kurt Angle vs. Ethan Carter III
  • Match 5- 30 Minute Iron Man Match to determine new TNA Tag Team Champions:  The Wolves vs. The Dirty Heels
  • Magnus and Mickie James vs. James Storm and Serena Deeb

ECW Zombie passes – With Spandex

Wrestler Tim Roberts, who portrayed the ECW Zombie on the first episode of WWECW, has passed at the young age of 38. Very sad for anyone to pass away at such an early age. Condolences to Roberts’ friends and family.

Two New Champions, an Unexpected Return, and a New Faction Highlight Impact’s Return – Impact Wrestling

Wednesday Night’s Impact Wrestling debut on Destination America was a jam-packed card. Every TNA Championship was defended, Kurt Angle made his return to in-ring action, Awesome Kong returned to TNA, and there were THREE shocking heel turns resulting in Bobby Lashley regaining the TNA World Championship.

Lucha Underground Champion Crowned – WrestleZone

Even though it was taped months ago, it became official last night. Prince Puma was crowned the first Lucha Underground Champion surviving the 55 minute/20-man Aztec Warfare match, pinning Johnny Mundo (Morrison) to win the belt.

Kaitlyn explains her WWE departure last year – Cageside Seats
