Playing into the heel persona he’s cultivated in the UFC, Conor McGregor has drawn the ire of another group of athletes this weekend: professional wrestlers.

During a media call for UFC 202, after being asked about if there was any interest in a future in the squared circle, McGregor spoke with harsh words.

“I have thought about it. For the most part, I think these guys are p*ssies, to be honest. They’re messed up p*ssies if you ask me. Fair play to Brock (Lesnar); he got in and fought, but at the end of the day, he was juiced up to the f*cking eyeballs. How can I respect that? The other guy (CM Punk) hasn’t fought yet, so I don’t know about him yet. There’s some Dons in that wrestling game. The McMahons are Dons. Triple H is a Don. The Rock is a Don. But the rest of them are p*ssies. I haven’t thought about that, to be honest. It’s a little more show business and this is the fight business.”

The UFC Featherweight Champion then doubled down on his comments on his Twitter.

Naturally when their profession is given the badmouth, Wrestlers from WWE and outside the company aren’t shy in sticking up for their genre of entertainment.  The responses range from offended to hilarious.   Continue reading →

Fans often get excited when a former WWE talent hits the independent circuit to ply their trade in more intimate environments, but no superstar in recent memory has caused as much of a stir in the wrestling world with their post-WWE career plans as former 6-time tag team champion and 2-time Intercontinental Champion, Cody Rhodes.

In one of the most relaxed and conversational interviews we’ve had on the show, Cody joined this week’s Chad Dukes Wrestling Show for an amazing 20-minute discussion on topics ranging from land dealings with Bray Wyatt to his upcoming part on CW’s Arrow to Evolve and Ring of Honor to the chance we see him in the Lucha Underground temple and more.
