The summer-long Bound For Glory Series is one of the things I look forward to most in Impact Wrestling. It gives some younger and mid-card talents a chance to lock-up with the top guys, and gives the fans an opportunity to see who might be the future of the company.
Last year’s BFG series ultimately ended up being about two main storylines – (1) The redemption of Jeff Hardy, and (2) The rise of Bully Ray. One claimed the World Title at Bound For Glory, and the other is the current champ and one of the biggest heels in the industry (and the lynchpin of the Aces & 8s storyline). The 2013 Series may be won by someone like the ever-favored Samoa Joe, but we’re going to see talent step-up.
Hernandez and the aforementioned Joe have already qualified. GM Hogan has declared that the rest of the 12-man field will be set tonight. Two qualifying matches have already been confirmed…

It’s time once again for a wrap up of our weekly top 5 performers based on THIS PAST week of action. Based on highly subjective criteria, with CDW writers voting for their top 5 names in all of Professional Wrestling for the week. Could be managers, could be superstars, could be announcers.
Disagree with our results? Want to argue a placement? Want to name your top 5? Feel free to leave a comment or message us on twitter: @dukeswrestling. We’ll gladly name names of who voted for whom, and demand the defend themselves.

No secret; I’m an avid Howard listener. I appreciate many other AM monster radio shows along the same lines, but I grew up Howard so that’s how THIS particular post is coming about.
Many Pro-Wrestlers over the years have found their way onto Howard’s couch for very candid and forthcoming interviews. Hulk Hogan went to talk about the controversy of Having a sex tape to Howard, not to mention the handful of other times they got together.
Here’s now WWE COO Paul Levesque discussing is imminent return from tearing his quadricep (yeah THAT old), and discussing the parallels of going from dating Chyna to Stephanie McMahon.
Below, catch videos of Kurt Angle AND thhheee OOLDDDDD Stone Cold!! Well, not that old, but it’s certainly not recent.
These should get you through the end of the day, courtesy of YouTube and your friendly neighborhood blogger. Continue reading →
Open Fight Night returns tonight, as Impact Wrestling continues its stay in England. Here’s your spoiler-free preview for tonight’s pre-taped broadcast.
The Saga Continues…
Last week, Sting and Bully Ray plead their case regarding the latter’s ongoing suspension to an absent GM Hogan. As Bully has said numerous times, Sting is the only guy who has really trusted him over the last few months. Sting has the Hulkster’s ear, and Hulk is (in theory) the only one with the power to bring back Bully. We should find out tonight whether Hulk will reinstate his (future?) son-in-law, or whether he’ll prefer to handle Aces & Eights on his own.
1/3/13. TNA has been advertising this day as the return of Sting to Impact Wrestling. The Stinger is coming back with the goal of eradicating Impact Wrestling of the Aces & 8s once and for all. Is there any among you who won’t mark the f-out when Sting inevitably takes on the entire gang, aided only by a black baseball bat? If he’s in a trench coat with black-and-white face paint, I’m turning over furniture.
Also on the agenda tonight: Hulk Hogan calls out Brooke and Bully Ray. Again. I really try to view angles like this with a positive spin. After all, they must be going somewhere with this… right?
