Superstar Shakeup Pt 2 – Fox Sports

The trades are complete following last night’s SmackDown Live here’s how it breaks down for the blue brand. Coming to SmackDown: United States Champion Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Jinder Mahal, The Shining Stars, Charlotte Flair, Tamina, Sin Cara, Rusev, Lana, and The New Day.

Kane Running for Mayor – Wrestling Observer

Glenn Jacobs, better known as Kane, announced his candidacy for Mayor of Knox County, TN yesterday. Jacobs, a Libertarian, is running as a Republican with a slogan that has to be a play on his other career, “Lighting the Way for Our Future.”

Finn Balor Concussed – Cageside Seats

Finn Balor reportedly received a concussion from that brutal elbow from Jinder Mahal on Monday night. No official word from WWE has been released, however.

Superstar Shakeup – Fox Sports

Here’s the damage so far to SmackDown in the Superstar Shake-up: Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose, The Miz & Maryse, Apollo Crews, Curt Hawkins, Bray Wyatt, Kalisto, Heath Slater, Rhyno, Alexa Bliss, Mickie James, and David Otunga (in exchange for Byron Saxton).

Payback – WWE

With Brock Lesnar as Universal Champion, the next Raw exclusive PPV needed a title match, enter Bray Wyatt. Wyatt, now on Raw, will get his rematch for SmackDown Live’s top prize against Randy Orton in a House of Horrors match. Also added to the card, Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jericho, The Hardyz vs. Cesaro & Sheamus, and Neville vs. Austin Aries.

Kofi Kingston’s Ankle – With Spandex

The New Day’s Kofi Kingston underwent ankle surgery yesterday as evidenced by his New Day replacement Blow-fi Kingston on last night’s Raw.  The injury is being blamed by on The Revival but it just might explain why the New Day was relegated to “hosts” of ‘Mania rather than competitors.

Shibata Hospitalized – New Japan Pro Wrestling

Katsuyori Shibata was hospitalized following his match with Kazuchika Okada on Sunday Morning at Sumo Hall in Japan. Shibata was diagnosed with a subdural hematoma and underwent surgery. A subdural hematoma is caused by a “head injury strong enough to burst blood vessels” which can cause blood to pool and push on the brain.

DJZ Major Surgery in Mexico – Pro Wrestling Sheet

Impact Wrestling’s DJZ suffered a fractured colon and internal bleeding after being injured by a 450 splash in Mexico resulting in having to be rushed to the ER and undergoing “major surgery.”  DJZ is recovering from the surgery under doctor’s observation.

Ranallo Not Expected to Return – CBS Sports

CBS Sports is reporting Mauro Ranallo’s run as the voice of WWE’s “SmackDown Live” and “205 Live” shows appears to is not expected to appear on camera for the remainder of his WWE contract which runs until August of 2017. According to the report, Ranallo has also deleted mentions of WWE from his Twitter bio and a number of WWE related retweets. Ranallo has been missing from WWE TV since March 14th reportedly dealing with bipolar disorder.

Simon Gotch Granted Release – WWE

The Vaudevillians are no more. WWE announced yesterday that the company and Simon Gotch have mutually agreed to part ways.

Aron Rex Gone From Impact – Pro Wrestling Sheet

Speaking of departures, Aron Rex aka Damien Sandow announced in an interview this weekend that he’s done with Impact Wrestling after a brief run. During his time Rex held the Impact Grand Championship shortly, turned heel, and worked a brief Liberace gimmick with Rockstar Spud.

Hardys Finishing Up Independent Dates – PW Insider

Possibly your last chance to see the #BROKEN gimmick, for the time being, could be at several upcoming independent dates the WWE will be allowing the Hardys to fulfill before returning to WWE full-time, including an iPPV double shot with House of Hardcore on April 21st and 22nd.
