NXT Title Rematch – Cageside Seats

Shinsuke Nakamura gets his rematch for the NXT Championship against Samoa Joe this Saturday in Osaka, Japan. The match will air on the December 7th edition of NXT.

Lesnar Will Rumble -Pro Wrestling Sheet

Pro Wrestling Sheet is exclusively reporting that multiple sources have confirmed to Sheet’s Ryan Satin that Brock Lesnar will be in the Alamodome on January 29th for the Royal Rumble.  This comes on the heels of the news that Goldberg will be in the 2017 Rumble as well.

TLC Updates – WWE

Several new matches for WWE: TLC were announced coming out of last Tuesday’s Smackdown including Dolph Ziggler challenging The Miz for the IC Title in a Ladder Match for the final time, Kalisto versus Baron Corbin, Nikki Bella versus Carmella, and Becky Lynch defending the Women’s Championship against Alexa Bliss.

Cody Rhodes Wins A Championship – WrestleZone

Cody Rhodes defeated Sonjay Dutt to win the Global Force Wrestling NexGen Championship at WrestleCade’s Showcase of Champions Saturday in Winston-Salem, NC. Rhodes has vowed to defend the title “week after week.”

Aries Gets a “Permanent Foreign Object” – Twitter

After undergoing surgery for an orbital bone fracture following a kick to the face by Shinsuke Nakamura during an NXT Live Event match, Austin Aries posted an X-ray today showing a titanium plate which now resides in his face. I feel sorry for the first person who forgets and tries to slug him in the cheek.

WWN Updates: Style Battle, WWN Championship – World Wrestling Network

WWN, the parent company of EVOLVE and Shimmer, had several bits of big news last week. Tuesday they announced the formation of a new promotion under the WWN Umbrella, titled “Style Battle.” Each season of Style Battle will consist of nine events, eight 8-man qualifying tournaments, culminating in the eight winners competing in the Season Finale tournament at the ninth event. Then on Wednesday, the company announced they will crown a WWN Champion at their Mercury Rising event on WrestleMania weekend in Orlando, FL.  The champion will defend the title across events for EVOLVE, FIP, Style Battle, American Combat Wrestling, and WWN Supershows.
