New Cruiserweight Champion – WWE

In a shakeup for the division, Rich Swann captured the Cruiserweight Championship from THE Brian Kendrick on the premiere of 205 Live. Also, a number of names from the CWC returned to the division for the first time since the tournament.

Women’s Tournament Speculation – With Spandex

Names are being bandied about for the Women’s division’s answer to the CWC and Dusty Classic. PW Insider says previous NXT competitors such as Evie, Deonna Purrazzo, and Rachel Ellering are on the list as well as independent talents Heidi Lovelace, Kimber Lee, and Nixon Newell.

Wyatts Challenge for Tag Team Championships – Wrestling Observer

Bray Wyatt & Randy Orton will challenge Heath Slater & Rhyno for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at Sunday’s TLC after defeating American Alpha in a #1 Contenders Match on last night’s SmackDown.

Roadblock Main Event – WWE

As seen on last night’s Raw, the main event for Roadblock, the next Raw exclusive PPV, will be United States Champion Roman Reigns challenging WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens.

Superstars Cancelled – PW Insider

With the premiere of 205 Live, WWE Superstars is no more. The new taping schedule will see Main Event taped before Raw and 205 Live airing live every Tuesday following Smackdown on the WWE Network.

Next NXT Takeover Set for San Antonio – Twitter

Yesterday on Twitter, Triple H announced the next NXT Takeover would take place on Royal Rumble weekend, January 28th from San Antonio, TX.

Corgan Settles With TNA – Cageside Seats

TNA’s new partner Anthem Sports has reached a settlement with Billy Corgan to resolve the outstanding debts that Impact Ventures, TNA’s parent company, owed to the former Smashing Pumpkins frontman.

NXT Title Rematch – Cageside Seats

Shinsuke Nakamura gets his rematch for the NXT Championship against Samoa Joe this Saturday in Osaka, Japan. The match will air on the December 7th edition of NXT.

Lesnar Will Rumble -Pro Wrestling Sheet

Pro Wrestling Sheet is exclusively reporting that multiple sources have confirmed to Sheet’s Ryan Satin that Brock Lesnar will be in the Alamodome on January 29th for the Royal Rumble.  This comes on the heels of the news that Goldberg will be in the 2017 Rumble as well.

TLC Updates – WWE

Several new matches for WWE: TLC were announced coming out of last Tuesday’s Smackdown including Dolph Ziggler challenging The Miz for the IC Title in a Ladder Match for the final time, Kalisto versus Baron Corbin, Nikki Bella versus Carmella, and Becky Lynch defending the Women’s Championship against Alexa Bliss.

Finn Balor Confronts Drew Galloway – With Spandex

TNA’s Drew Galloway has made it a habit of being involved with WWE contracted wrestlers on non-WWE shows, first in EVOLVE and now in the UK’s ICW. Former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor made an appearance at Insane Championship Wrestling’s Fear and Loathing IX iPPV in Scotland as a “special enforcer,” hitting Galloway with a pipe to give Team ICW a victory over Team Black Label. TNA’s Grado was a part of Team ICW and Bram was also part of Team Black Label. Wrestling in 2016, everybody.

Rich Swann vs. Brian Kendrick – Lords of Pain

Rich Swann will challenge Brian Kendrick for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship next week on the premiere of 205 Live after winning a #1 contender’s Triple Threat Match on Raw.

Goldberg In Rumble; Two Title Matches Set – Wrestling Observer

There were two other pieces of news out of last night’s Raw. As reported by Pro Wrestling Sheet yesterday, Goldberg is officially in the 2017 Royal Rumble. Second, two title matches are set for next week’s Raw, Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks and The New Day vs. The Club.
