CMLL/NJPW Star Signs with NXT – WWE

CMLL & NJPW’s La Sombra has signed with NXT and will be joining the WWE Performance Center.  He is a former NJPW Intercontinental Champion,  a former CMLL Trio, Tag Team Champion, and former NWA Welterweight and Middleweight Champion.

AJ Lee to Write Autobiography – WrestleZone

Former WWE Divas Champion AJ Brooks (aka AJ Lee) has signed to write a memoir entitled “Crazy is My Superpower” for a 2017 release.

TNA’s Impact Wrestling Moving to Pop TV in January 2016

More time for Bigfoot programming on Destination America!

On the heels of Ring of Honor announcing their move to Sinclair-MGM owned Comet in December, TNA Wrestling announced this morning they would be moving to the former TV Guide Channel, POP, starting Tuesday January 5th at 9PM.


LOS ANGELES, CALIF. – Nov. 19, 2015 – Get ready for #ImpactOnPop. Pop, a network that celebrates the excitement of being a fan, will soon become the exclusive U.S. television home of IMPACT WRESTLING, the hard-hitting, high-flying global sports sensation enjoyed by millions of fans around the world.

Pop will premiere IMPACT WRESTLING with a live two-hour, action-packed broadcast on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, and the show will continue to air every Tuesday night at 9:00 PM, ET/PT. The show features some of the biggest stars in professional wrestling, including Jeff and Matt Hardy, EC3, Kurt Angle, Bobby Lashley, The Wolves, Eric Young, Tigre Uno and Gail Kim.

Its fans are some of the most devoted and socially active in sports, with more than 15 million aggregated social media followers and nearly 700 million video views on YouTube, making it the seventh-most-viewed sports channel, ahead of MLB®, NHL®, MLS® and FIFATV®.

POP had previously aired Paragon Pro Wrestling out of Las Vegas on Saturday Mornings, however they announced this morning they would be moving on from the network.  For those keeping score, Destination America is available in 57 million homes and POP is in 80 million homes, so the move has to be considered a bit of a step up for TNA.

John Cena to Host Fox’s American Grit – Variety

The reason behind John Cena’s hiatus has finally been made official.  The military-themed competition show will see 16 civilians face military-grade survival challenges.

Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe set for Takeover – Lords of Pain

The Takeover: London main event has been set as the winners of the Dusty Classic will meet for the NXT Championship. A contract signing will take place on next week’s NXT.

TNA Teasing…something – Wrestling INC

Late Wednesday Night the TNA Website was replaced by a countdown clock which is set to expire around 11am ET this morning.  Dixie Carter and TNA twitter accounts have blacked out their profile & header photos and also tweeted countdown images.

Wednesday Night Wrestling Preview 11/18/15


With Lucha Underground still on hiatus and the uncertainty over TNA’s television future in question, we should savour all the pro wrestling action packed into Wednesday nights while we can! Here’s what’s on tap for tonight’s NXT, ROH, & TNA.

WWE NXT 8PM + 11PM + On Demand on WWE Network

The tag team and women’s division take center stage tonight at the Full Sail Arena for another edition of NXT!  After stealing the belt during last week’s six-person tag match, Alexa Bliss will have the opportunity to take the title for good as she meets NXT Women’s Champion Bayley in the main event for the championship.

Then, fresh off their shocking championship win last week, Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder are back in action against local talent and will also no doubt be watching as Jason Jordan & Chad Gable, possible future opponents, take on the Ascension.
