A weird day of police involvement in the world of pro wrestling today with two unrelated but nonetheless scary incidents.
First, a 29-year-old man with a “fixation” with an unidentified female wrestler accused of causing multiple problems at the WWE Performance Center, was shot at the facility after charging two plain-clothes Orange County, FL Sherriff’s deputies responding to a trespassing call.
The caller who reported the man’s presence told the deputies the suspect was possibly armed with a knife, so deputies had weapons drawn when they approaching the suspect. When the suspect charged one of the deputies, he fired once as he retreated roughly 75 feet, Sheriff Jerry Dennings said.
The suspect was taken to a local hospital, his condition is unknown. He recently arrested on Aug. 4 for trespassing at the Performance Center after warning.

Compton Misses ROH After Seizure – PW Insider
The former Domino of WWE fame, Cliff Compton missed his ROH return in Atlanta after suffering a seizure in the locker room. Compton was taken to the hospital and released later that evening.

Takeover Coming to the UK – Lords of Pain
Triple H revealed on Twitter that there will be a Takeover special from London during the NXT UK Tour on December 16th.

Bubba & D-Von have been added to the 10/3 WWE Network special from Madison Square Garden, no opponent has been announced as of this time however.
Liger Working More NXT? – With Spandex
Wrestling Observer is reporting that independent promoters trying to book recent Takeover competitor Jushin “Thunder” Liger have been told most upcoming U.S. dates have already been claimed by WWE, and the rumor is that Liger may have signed a part-time deal similar to Samoa Joe’s initial deal.
Tommy Dreamer Working TNA – WrestleZone
Tommy Dreamer will work three TNA house shows leading up to Bound For Glory in September.

Dudley Boyz Contract Details – With Leather
According to a report from PWInsider, the Dudley Boyz have signed a multi-year contract and will be working a full-time schedule, including house shows. Backstage roles are also in their future. This is probably also great news for students at the Team 3D academy having such an “in” with the largest sports entertainment company in the world.
