This preview contains MASSIVE Wrestlemania spoilers:
Wow! Like the rest of the wrestling world, we at CDW still haven’t come down off that amazing Wrestlemania high — and fortunately, we don’t have to! Tonight is the always-entertaining Raw After Wrestlemania, which means three hours of must-see TV. Live from San Jose, CA, here are the pre-Raw notes:
Mr. Money in the Bank No More: Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and defeated both Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Lesnar, Reigns, and Randy Orton (who beat Rollins earlier last night) will likely squabble over who gets to be the first in line to take a shot at the strap. The WWE universe will be on edge, waiting to hear from Paul Heyman and Lesnar, who will be in the building tonight.
More Title Changes: Pre-Wrestlemania rumors were that WWE sought to elevate the U.S. and Intercontinental championships. Step one of that plan was completed last night, with John Cena and Daniel Bryan winning those belts, respectively. Other than Rusev and Bad News Barrett exercising their rematch clauses, its unclear who the challengers to Cena and Bryan will be. Tonight’s episode should shed some light on this situation.
Debuts and Returns: As has become tradition over the past few years, the Raw after Wrestlemania is usually the spot for high-profile debuts and surprise returns for established superstars. Sheamus is likely the biggest return of the night, but there are a wealth of potential NXT wrestlers that could get called up tonight, including Adrian Neville, Finn Balor, and Charlotte.
The Game Done Changed: After dispatching Sting and the NWO last night, Triple H (and Stephanie McMahon) got into a confrontation with the Rock and Ronda Rousey. While it’s unlikely that the Rock or Rousey become every-week players, this is a long-term development to keep an eye on. Inter-gender tag match at Wrestlemania 32?
Wyatt/Undertaker Fallout: Will the Deadman stick around for a few more matches like he did after Wrestlemania 29? Who will Bray Wyatt move on to feud with? Gotta tune in tonight to find out.
The Crowd Turns It Up to 11: Typically the live audience for the Raw after Wrestlemania has some of the most die-hard wrestling fans on the planet. Here’s to hoping they stay hot and keep it rowdy tonight, without making it about themselves.
Enjoy the show, marks — there’s a LOT to look forward to!
