conormcg_3078567b

UFC Featherweight “The Notorious” Conor McGregor joined the Chad Dukes Wrestling Show on Super Bowl Radio Row for an interview Thursday afternoon.  McGregor talked about the emotions of jumping out of the cage following his UFC Fight Night performance to confront champion Jose Aldo and their upcoming fight, as well as a few comments on CM Punk.

On CM Punk:

“At the end of the day he’s doing it.  He’s signed up and he’s gonna step in.  So anyone who steps through the doors at whatever level, I have respect for, whether it’s in the UFC or a smaller organization.  Who knows what his level is like.  I’m sure he would not enter something unless he had some sort of skills, some sort of confidence.  Of course when you’re going in at the biggest level it’s different.  Again he’s gonna bring eyes, it brings business, if you bring business you can have a shot. So we’ll see.”

Morning News RoundUp 2

TNA Spoiling Debut of Former WWE Superstar – Impact Wrestling

A former WWE Superstar debuted at the Impact Tapings in Glasgow, Scotland last night. I won’t spoil it here if you’re looking to stay surprised since the show won’t air for another 2-3 weeks, but if you’re interested Impact’s site has the news.

Smackdown Results – Wrestling INC

A couple of newsworthy announcements from last night’s live show: Triple H will address the Royal Rumble “controversy” with an announcement on Monday’s Raw and Paige will face Nikki Bella for the Divas Title at Fast Lane.

Wyatt Promo – YouTube

Speaking of Smackdown, Bray Wyatt cut a cryptic promo stating he fears “nothing, living or dead.” Speculate about THAT with WrestleMania close at hand.

SmackDown Preview 1/29/15

Because of weather affecting the Northeast on Monday night, tonight’s SmackDown is LIVE from Harford, CT. I hope Dean Ambrose got a ride and didn’t walk all the way back.

After Monday’s largely pre-taped broadcast, not much is known about what will be on tonight’s edition of SmackDown outside of its main event. As announced during Raw’s studio show, Daniel Bryan will meet Kane in a Casket Match. Considering Daniel Bryan is main eventing his third straight SmackDown perhaps it’s time to give the show the nickname of the Showcase of the Dazzler?

Also expected for tonight’s show is the fallout from the interviews conducted from Titan Towers regarding Sunday’s Royal Rumble card. Words were exchanged by many parties. Rollins-Lesnar, Bryan-Reigns, Reigns-Lesnar, how will things play out when the majority of these men are in the same building together? Perhaps we’ll find out tonight on SmackDown.

Morning News Roundup 3

NXT Solomon Crowe Teaser – SnappyTV

It looks like Indy superstar Sami Callihan, known in NXT as Solomon Crowe, is finally making his TV Debut. During the entrances of Tyson Kidd-Adrian Neville last night, the broadcast had a bit of “technical difficulties” in which glitches and color bars filled the screen. Images of Crowe and the word “Solomon” can be seen as well.  Also on last night’s NXT, new Tag Champs were crowned and Zayn-Owens will now be for the Championship.  Check it out on the WWE Network.

Ring of Honor TV – ROH

Speaking of shows you should watch, the latest edition of Ring of Honor is up on their website featuring the in-ring debut of Alberto El Patron!

WrestleMania Dropping Numbers – With Spandex

Moving forward WrestleMania will not have the number of the event in the logo.  I like the boys and girls at With Spandex, but I’m not sure why this news deserved a snark-filled article taking shots at Vince McMahon.
