Tonight brings the final edition of Impact Wrestling before Lockdown. The card for one of the four pay-per-views is nearly set, including the Lethal Lockdown main event of Team TNA vs. Team Aces & Eights.
“Holy S***!”
Those were the words first spoken by Kurt Angle as he unmasked the biker gang’s VP at the conclusion of last week’s show. Of course, we didn’t get to see the face of the faction’s on-screen leader, as the TNA cameraman was sleeping on the job. Angle screamed “How could you?!” before being attacked by Wes Brisco and co.
We can probably gather from this that the VP is someone who has been on friendly terms with Kurt Angle, and most recently was a face on television. TNA’s website is teasing the possibility that Angle could spill the beans tonight, but that seems like something that would be better kept for pay-per-view. Fortunately, I found this exclusive image revealing the identity of the higher power (spoiler alert!!!).
More on tonight’s show after the jump.
The Feud That Wasn’t
Over a decade ago, Jeff Hardy and (the man now known as) Bully Ray were tearing up the WWF as integral parts of a dynamic three-way tag team feud. They touched on that briefly last week, as well as the fact that the two have reinvented themselves to become main-eventers in TNA. So, in conclusion, the former adversaries now enjoy each other’s company. Not a great build prior to a World Title STEEL CAGE MATCH. We want bad blood, we want skullduggery! There should be no handshakes going into a cage.
That said, Bully Ray spoke a lot about Aces & Eights and Devon last week. One night remains for the rogue bikers to spill over into this “feud.”
Also on the show…
Kenny King beat RVD with the Royal Flush last week to become the new X-Division Champion. I’m pulling for a rematch either tonight, or on Sunday.
Gail Kim tweeted earlier that she’ll be on hand to confront her opponent for Sunday, KO Champ Velvet Sky.
Tag Champs Aries & Roode have a well established feud with Guerrero and Hernadez at this point, but I desperately want them to have more one-on-one (or, two-on-two) time with Bad Influence before their match at Lockdown.
Tweet us during the show tonight, @DukesWrestling!
