The wrestling world was rocked yesterday with the news of Reid Flair’s passing, the youngest son of legend Ric Flair. All our thoughts and condolences go out to the Fliehr family during their time of loss. Much of the wrestling community took to Twitter to offer their thoughts and condolences.

Dwayne Johnson has been on a whirlwind media tour as of late. I’m sure you’ve noticed his absence from the majority of RAW and Smackdown episodes. He’s got a lot on his plate, and last night was no exception. The Rock appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote movies, Wrestlemania 29, and his general bad-ass-ness, as seen in the above picture.

SmackDown Preview 3/29/13

Get your theme song stuck in my head and leg drop Chris Jericho because you’re FAAAAANDAAAAANGOHHHH and it’s FRIDAY.

Lots of people still not on board the Fandango bandwagon, many of us here at Chad Dukes Wrestling are of course, but his debut match against Chris Jericho on the Showcase of the Immortals has all the makings of an underrated classic. Fandango, formerly known as Johnny Curtis on NXT, is a decent hand in the ring and with an experienced pro like Jericho guiding him through his big chance, I expect a really fun match at Mania.

FINALLY, The Rock has come back to SmackDown

Anyway, the big news for tonight’s show, The Champ, The Rock is kicking off tonight’s show with an in-ring promo. The Rock unfortunately has missed a lot of the buildup for his Mania rematch with Cena while out promoting G.I. Joe Retaliation. So tonight the Great One throws a bone to the unwashed masses by making a rare appearance on SmackDown. What roadblocks (GET IT?) will the Rock lay down on John Cena on the way to Met Life stadium?
