The Morning Roundup – 2/13/2013

Sorry I missed yesterday, it wont happen again.  Middle of the road Raw again for me.  Rock promo lacked, Heyman promo was hit/miss, but we were saved again by Jericho’s wrestling.  LIONHEART!  Here we go.

Two More Chamber Matches – LOP

One makes sense.  One makes no sense.  Miz v. Antonio makes perfect sense because they have a feud going and it has come to its likely conclusion, a title match.  The other match, makes no sense whatsoever.   The preshow will feature Tensai Clay v Rhodes Scholars.  Say what?  A broken up tag team v a brand new tag team for no gold?  Meanwhile, on the big show, the tag titles are not be defended.  I just dont get it.  This is just booking to book.  By the way, Dolph is not on the card at all.  #cashinginthecase  Hopefully, the PPV turns out okay.

Punk is Punk – Wrestling, Inc.

CM Punk called the Pope a Nazi.  For me, the Pope is not a big part of my life, so it did not strike a chord.  However, a lot of people are very tied to the Pope and most likely did not appreciate this.  I figured at the time the WWE would make a stink of it, but so far, not to be the case.  Its just another example of Punk not caring what other people think, and I respect that, but religion will always be a very touchy subject.  We will see if anything comes from it, other than being a one day headlining “Pipe Bomb.”

Rock Doesn’t matter – PW Insider

Ratings are in, less people watch Raw this week.  This does not surprise me.  The Rock was not on Raw last week and nothing said he would be this week, so his “people” did not show up.  Then when he showed up, he dropped a turd of a promo right in my ring.  The WWE is sick, not even of a course with cure it.  This trend will stop for now as people will tune in for lead up to Wrestlemania, but it will be come status quo afterwards, mark my words.

It’s good that the WWE didn’t make a stink of it. Pope or not, between 1941-45 he was a part of the Nazi movement in Germany. At age 14 he enrolled in the Hitler Youth group. He then was drafted in 1943 to be part of the anti-aircraft division. In 1945 he was captured by Ally forces and held as a WW2 P.O.W. until the end of the war. I don’t know if he killed anyone during his two years as part of the Nazi’s military division, but he did wear the uniform. If people are upset that somebody called the Pope a Nazi then don’t select a Nazi to be your Pope.
