And here I thought chair shots to the head and face were banned.
It seems Punk may or may not have been injured in some capacity at a house show this past weekend in a botched spot with the Miz. Hopefully all are OK and no significant injuries were sustained. Howevs, Michael takes his fair share of stiff bumps (ie, directors chairs to the face).
Elimination Chamber is fast approaching, and the big RAW brand match will be the Rock (C) vs CM Punk (PC). Dwayne will be in Nashville tonight to hype the conflict. I’d bet money that these two will insult one another tonight. I’d be willing to bet as well that Punk keeps his promos PG, all the while remaining topical and sharper than ever. I love the Rock. “Twinkie tits” and “cookie puss” are incredibly awkward.
Also headed to the PPV, but not in a an actual Chamber Match, the Shield will answer the challenge of John Cena, Ryback, and Sheamus. This will be the first major match the members of the Shield will get in front of the WWE cameras, and with three of their top babyfaces. They’ll probably have some sort of disagreement tonight.
The actual Elimination Chamber match will be ALL Smackdown brand, so expect a good portion of that to be on tonight’s show.
There are articles up on WWE.com analyzing the affect of returning Superstars in 2013. This could lead to more returns, and take note of this possible spoiler. Could be very interesting night.
