Dukes’ WrestleMania Interviews Live from WWE Fan Axxess

Call me a mark, but my favorite part of WrestleMania week each year are the interviews Dukes & Drab get from Radio Row at WWE Fan Axxess. I heard some other guy tagged along with them, wish I could remember his name. I think he’s French.

A tradition dating back four years, this might be the best lineup of guests yet. One day away from the Showcase of the Immortals, sit back, set aside your seething jealousy of the undeserving Frogman LeBlanc and enjoy Dukes’ interviews from Axxess.

The biggest draw of this set of interviews would have to be the man facing the Rock this Sunday, John Cena. Our own Chuck Carroll did a fantastic write up on this interview, detailing Cena’s real life animosity leading into the match up. But more interesting to me, Cena talks about the “Cena Sucks” shirts, his hand in their creation, and the PG era versus the Atittude era.

The WrestleMania Dark Match is…

Last night, the WWE has announced this year’s WrestleMania dark match will be a Tag Team Championship Match.  The Colons will defend the WWE Tag Team Championship in a Triple Threat Match against Jimmy & Jey Uso and newly formed team Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd. In a departure from the status quo, this year’s WrestleMania dark match will now be available on WWE.com and the WWE’s YouTube page at 6:30 ET.

This is a great move in my opinion as a guy who misses the free-PPV pre-show concept from the 90’s. First, it probably means one of the already booked matches won’t be bumped off the card like last year’s Daniel Bryan/Sheamus match. Second, extra content is always great. Bravo, WWE. Now if we could only get the Mid Card Mafia into this bout and make it a Fatal-Four Way.

John Cena Blasts The Rock During Interview With Chad Dukes

John Cena’s match against The Rock at Sunday’s WrestleMania 28 in Miami is billed as being a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience. Cena, himself, likens the battle to Hulk Hogan taking on Andre The Giant.

But unlike Hulk and Andre, Cena’s match against the Rock carries with it a lot of real life animosity.

Chad Dukes had the opportunity to interview Cena on the Friday before the big match as festivities for the Grandaddy of ‘Em All got underway in South Florida.

The 10-time WWE champion has been a stalwart supporter of the company, having never strayed too far toward Hollywood without coming all the way back. The same cannot be said about Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, as Cena pointed out.

The Rock’s Exhibit From WWE Fan Axxess

A Collection of "$3,000" Shirts

If you ever have a chance to attend Wrestlemania and have been a longtime WWE Fan, I don’t see how you can skip their “Fan Axxess” event. It has a ton of really cool artifacts such as Vince McMahon’s limo that was blown up, the Throne Triple H sat on for his Wrestlemania 22 entrance and Sheriff Stone Cold Steve Austin’s ATV. This year with ‘Mania being all about The Rock versus John Cena, WWE created an exhibit featuring a ton of memorabilia from Dwayne Johnson’s life and career. After the jump are more photos from the new exhibit.

SmackDown Preview 3/30/12

Sit in your office and fume with insane jealousy that the Frogman got to be locked in the LeBell Lock because it’s FRIDAY! Time for another evening of WWE action on SmackDown.

As we heard earlier this week from Frogman on the  @DukesWrestling  Twitter and from Chuck earlier this week, this will be a slightly truncated SmackDown with only two scheduled bouts. The rest of the show will be filled out with a WrestleMania preview live from WrestleMania Axxess in Miami.

The main event will be a match between the #1 contender for CM Punk’s WWE Championship, Chris Jericho taking on Former Tag Champion Kofi Kingston. Also tonight, members of Team Teddy and Team Johnny collide as Zack Ryder takes on Drew McIntyre.

Plus, keep checking back for info on the interviews Chad is conducting for 106.7 the Fan on Radio Row and if that’s not enough, keep checking out @DukesWrestling on Twitter for pictures from Chad, Frogman, and Drab’s WrestleMania trip.
